Friend of the Town Award for 2020

A generous financial gift by Andy and Carol Phelps will allow the Town of Middleton to install solar panels at the Town Hall. The solar panels, which will be installed in June 2020 will save the Town 80% on their current electrical energy costs by providing 90% of the electricity used by the Town Hall. For the Phelp’s generosity to the residents of the Town of Middleton they have been awarded the Friend of the Town award for 2020.

The Town of Middleton has had many community-minded residents over the years. The list of past “Friend of the Town” recipients include:

Friend of the Town Award

The Town of Middleton has a "Friend of the Town Award" to recognize individuals who have made a difference in the community. The Town established this award in 2014 for individuals who:

Live in the Town of Middleton (required)
Have a proven track record of outstanding volunteer service and success.
Work hard to bring an idea of a program to reality that can improve the quality of life for the community.
Is a leader who motivates people and inspires others to act for the benefit of the community.
Encourages programs and activities that promote sustainability and conservation.

When you see a neighbor doing something outstanding, let the Town know by sending in the who, what, where, and when. The person you identify could be a Friend of the Town Award recipient!

All nominations can be sent to the Town Staff via mail or e-mail, no later than March 16, 2021.
